To gel or not to gel soap

  1. If you need to rebatch soap, if the soap was gelled will it still be gelled once melted and remoulded? Could this be a way of getting rid of partly gelled soap?

    • Hi Melanie, the soap will still be gelled if you re-batch it, that cannot be reversed. But if you don’t like the look of the partially gelled soap, which has a darker circle in the middle of the bar, then you can grate it and re-batch it. Then the entire bar will look the same and you won’t have the darker circle in the middle of the bar.
